What are you addicted to? What are you dealing with? Do you think your addiction is safe or acceptable or not that bad, or you can quit anytime you want or maybe you just don’t care? What lies are you telling yourself, believing and accepting to continue on numbing the pain in your life?
Sin doesn’t miss anyone. We must realize that we are in a spiritual battle and that our enemy is a great deceiver. We must be aware today could be the day we are attacked. We have to arm ourselves from day to day in our spiritual walk & faith. How? Reading the Bible, Prayer, going to church, hanging out with other Christians, godly music, and all things that encourage, inspire, convict, teach, lead us toward Christ daily.

WAIT!!! Let me guess 😉 This can’t happen to me, right? I can do this & maintain the status quo and it won’t affect my relationships, work, school, joy… no way, never! right? Because it’s a secret, it only affects me, right? I’m in control, I determine when and how, right? It’s not an addiction, I’m in control & btw everyone does it, right? OR maybe you’re like I can’t stop, it would be too hard or I can’t handle life without it…huh? It’s not my fault or mine isn’t as bad as yours… if someone or something else would do this then I wouldn’t have to… Life would be the same regardless if I stop or continue… Do you tell yourself these lies? Do you believe these lies?

1 Corinthians 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

1 Corinthians 4:7 – 16
